Massachusetts has a maple syrup branding problem. ๐
Say "great maple syrup" and most people immediately think Vermont or Canada.
That's a miss.
Because right here in Western Massachusetts, there's a thriving maple sugar industry producing the real thing โ and doing it incredibly well.
Victoria Bergeron and I visited Steve's Sugar Shack in Westhampton today, and it was a great reminder that sometimes the biggest challenge for a business isn't quality.
It's visibility.
It's awareness.
It's owning the story.
The experience was terrific, the people were great, and the syrup absolutely delivered.
There's a lot of excellence in our own backyard.
Sometimes it just needs better marketing.
